Estate Planning

Since 2002, The Law Office of Michael D. Mirne has been navigating our clients through the complex process of estate planning, through the use of wills, living wills, trusts, and enduring power of attorneys – including guardianships, family foundations, special needs trusts, and elder law protections. Our office will also prepare health care proxies and medical directives if necessary.

Our office works with accountants who thoroughly understand Federal and New Jersey tax laws and will help you to choose the proper estate-planning vehicle to minimize your tax consequences. In the event that probating your estate requires the selling of real estate, our office also works with a team of appraisers who can determine the value of the property that is being sold, so the assets can be properly distributed.
